Which seems to pay more? Web Apps or Blogs?

Does the type of site a site is, make a difference?

Was thinking about this the other day and it seemed that both could be successful. I'm a web developer so apps are my specialty, but I have also seen other types of sites that pay fairly well.

Anyone have enough experience to comment?

Both can, and cannot. too many variables.

Well, the reason I was asking was because I know that I’m having problems getting relevant ads on my site. Having a lot of forms and a lot of user interaction, there’s a lot less room for content. I still have a paragraph or two on each page but beyond that it’s tools for the user.

I haven’t opened it yet for traffic, but it seems that in my case the google search is utilized more than the ads are.

I may have to play with the spidering, but as of yet, there only seem to be a few ads, perhaps I'll have to tweak this a bit more.
