Big strike in the UK today over pensions.

Which means fewer people at their desks surfing the net!

Which means less money for me :-(

Earnings are spot on average for me. I guess most of my business readers are commercial, or the civil servants on strike are still working and surfing the net from home....

Er, no. Let's get real. Most of my business readers are commercial!

I'm about a third down - may be worst day of the month for me :-(

Get back to work everybody!

Most of my traffic and income os from the US. Whenever there is a public holiday there, my stats are down. The UK strike hasn't affected earnings today for me.

yeah i heard about the french strike...amongst other things, apparently the government wants them to actually work instead of turning up at 11 am then going for 5 coffee breaks followed by lunch and 2 hours of reading newspapers and surfing the net.
a totally unreasonable request on the poor french public sector workers!
as for giving employers the ability to get rid of under 26 workers with under 2 years service....i seem to recall that that law stands for EVERYONE regardless of age in the UK as you can't appeal to a tribunal until you have 2 years service.
it's probably even tougher in the USA...the french need to take a reality check and realise how good they have it.

According to my webstats, 5.5% of my traffic comes from the U.K. This should not affect my earnings that much, but I'll keep an eye on things.

I think a bigger impact for some people is Spring Break in the United States. No students browsing around doing research for papers.

Normal for me...but I am dreading the impact that the World Cup will have on us in two months.

No problems here with either AdSense or affiliate sales. Both have been strong today. (Maybe my British readers are staying at home and surfing the Net.)

I can imagine the French labor unrest having some negative fallout in the travel sector, though--especially with American tourists, many of whom panic easily.
