When I put my website online, how much traffic should I be attracting before I sign up?

I think you needn't wait for traffic before signing up.

It has been said it's better to wait for some traffic before putting put the ads up, but I don't see the point..

I think that it doesn't make much difference. If you know you have a good product, you might as well put it online
