Recently I spun off my second tier pages to YPN (12) and have only 2 index pages with Adsense. The CTR was low on the second set but I am getting double the income out of them now (it was very ramdom targeting anyway).

On the index pages I put the phrase large and in bold over the content:

We strongly suggest that you bookmark this page before you start (recommended)

I have a free download site.

I have seen a 50% hike in my index page views and corresponding profit. Also since I dumped the lower CTR backpages the eCPM has gone up 50% also on the main pages.

Bottom line, I doubled my money spliting the poorer performing pages to Y for higer paying clicks and adding the bookmark suggestion to boost the G pages.

I was thinking of splitting between adsense & YPN, but wasn't sure if it was allowed.

You can't show them on the same "web page" but you can show them on the same site just different pages. Actually I only have to police the two pages for MFAs now, much easier. I don't know about MFYs yet but the clicks are higher $ which might tend to keep them out.
