Google Adsense boosting PR?

I know Adsense is fairly new, but has anyone noticed their PR increase on pages with google adsense ads running?

Also is there a way to control what ads are displayed? I went to one of my companie's cometitors sites and they are using Adsense and suprise!....we're their adsense ad running. Obviously if I were to do it, I'd not want to be advertising stuff from my own competitors.

Google makes it clear that AdSense is a program for publishers, not commercial sites. Commercial sites are welcome to run AdSense ads, but only at their own risk. :-)
