Today's amount under "Today" and "This Month" sometimes differ

I noticed this last night. Checking the "This Month" total in the Adsense reports showed one amount for Dec. 18, and then checking the same day under "Today" showed a few dollars less. Eventually the "Today" amount caught up with the "This Month" amount. I've also noticed the Today amount dropping a few dollars, and then coming back.

Odd... perhaps they use different servers for reporting and they don't always coincide?

Yup, I've been noticing the same problem.

This is something I just noticed today for the first time. Earnings reports are being cached and not updating if I run them again.

For example, I see the earnings for today reported as $aa,aaa.aa. When I go back in 10 minutes later, that number is unchanged, but if I run reports for the month to date, today's earnings are reported as $bb,bbb.bb. Then if I generate today's stats again, I'm back to the old number.

Good grief, then the month to date report gets cached and I have to play with specific date ranges to get more current figures.

Oh, it's ok over here in Eng-ger-land which shouldn't make any difference, but it is ok. Strange one isn't it.

I've just tried this and I get the effect too.

I viewed my daily stats earlier today and they haven't updated for about 8 hours now. I ran the 'this month' report and got new stats.

How handy :)

(I'm in the UK btw)

Google must cache the data requested for some period of time. Hence where the 'stats are updated 4-24 hours' effect comes from.

UKFord, perhaps try again? Request daily stats, wait an hour or so and request them again (to see the same numbers hopefully). Then immediately request this months stats (or another unique query) to get the latest real stats.
