Google really screwed up this time, what a shame! What a shame!
Payment has now been processed. I have just noticed, however, that no conversion ratio has been applied to convert the U.S. dollar earnings amount into Canadian funds. The conversion ratio should be approximately 1.15 to 1.
I have never had a problem in the past.
I have emailed Google but will likely not receive a reply until next week.
Have any other Canadians had this happen to them?
This is probably the biggest screw up Google could ever make.
Really? You don't have much of an imagination!
It would be a bigger screw up if they didn't catch this on Monday and actually mailed checks and made EFTs for the wrong amounts.
It would be a bigger screw up if they paid everyone in the wrong currency.
It would be a bigger screw up if they told each of us exactly what our revenue share has been for the past month.
It would be a bigger screw up if they revealed how they detect click fraud.
It would be a bigger screw up if they revealed the AdSense algorithm....

Who are you, a philosopher? This is the biggest screw up so far. Don't start philosophizing with "IF this happened" or "if that happened". I am telling you - this screw up has happened, and your "IF's" might or might not happen in the future. Therefore, this is the biggest screw that Google made so far.
Biggest so far, yes! Biggest possible, no....
It would be a bigger screw up if they paid random amounts in local currency to everyone.
Don't laugh - something very similar has happened before with a U.S. based company I used to work for. They were US-based, and they were introducing "local currency billing" in Europe, e.g. instead of charging US$ to German customers they wanted to charge German Marks. But then there was this tiny screw-up that charged people in Europe with random (!) amounts. One guy who had to pay $9.95 was charged 9,541.66 Marks (which was roughly off by factor 1,000). Well, our call centers were burning down, as you can imagine.
My guess is even if the currency / checks were incorrect, an adjustment would have been made to accounts the following month.
This reminds me of that NASA Mars probe that crashed because someone mixed up metric and English units....
I was shocked too when the I saw the conversion rate US$1.00 = PHP1.00. I emailed google this morning and still waiting for a reply. I hope the check released is correct and the report I've seen is just a typo or maybe just an halucination....
:(
If you are, then there is still no payment link for EFT and that is the reason you don't see conversion rate.
