Hi all,

Am using SMF 1.1 RC2 for my forum, ever since i started displaying adsense ads on it, i have discovered that the ads and the contents of posts are never in sync unless/untill the page is reloaded.

I have been thinking of removing adsense from my forum completely, hence i did apply for bidviser, but that was even not the best option.

Will anyone kindly give me a clue why this is happening, i have been thinking of session ID stuffs but my host does not support mod rewrite.

IF you run an SMF forum kindly tell me how you are doing your own.

Yeah, the session IDs are probably the problem. The Adsense bit is likely seeing Page A as a new page each time it's initially served during a session.

The session IDs are also very likely to cause problems with the regular Googlebot resulting in, at the best, a bit of confusion; at the worst, many, many duplicate pages.

Unless there's another way to fiddle the URLs using that software package (I'm not familiar with it), or other magic others might come up with, you should really look into moving hosts to give you more control.

doesn't the bot check out the content of a page the first time that an ad is served?

so, presumably, it would only ever see the first post of each thread.

maybe you could just put the ads on the forum index pages, and add a bit of relevant text as an intro, or something.

londrum i have use MKPortal on my main page and it display related ads to the contents(posts) from the forum. I have read somewhere that the issue might be with the the way SMF and mediabot sync because SMF is session based.

I have seen sites that run SMF and they have good ads, is there a way i can (1)Get SEF urls (2)remove session ID
