whitespace destroys layout look and feel

Just wondering if anyone else feels that when there are only two or three ads in a block of four they should be in a larger font. I specially hate it when there's only one ad in a leader board with tiny text and lots of whitespace. I think the large rectangle increases the font a bit but it needs to be bigger - perhaps like the CPM ads.

I've seen the same ad on my site display in a tiny font in the middle of a sea of white space, or in larger fonts that take up the entire space. I would venture that Google tracks the performance of ads pretty closely, and tries to serve a presentation that will maximize clicks.
