I have created URL channels for all the pages with ads. I have also created one for my home page that is www.wwtosdoesnotallowname.com/index.html. However the problem is that most of the users come to the home page via www.wwtosdoesnotallowname.com. In the adsense control panel, this channel actually tracks all urls on my website alongwith the homepage. I would like a channel that should track only the homepage (without /index.html too) but not other urls on my website. how can i do this?
I hope i have described this correctly. English is not my first language :-D

Your stats in the channelwww.wwtosdoesnotallowname.com/index.html
will include visitors who arrive using the URLwww.wwtosdoesnotallowname.com
Xartan, I am using custom channels too. But the URL channels help me know what content pages are getting me the clicks and which ones are not. I am hoping to use this to decide which pages should I use to show the ads on. I certainly do not want to display ads on all the pages.

I still have my url channels active, and when I compare it vs its custom counterpart, they are never the same values even though they should be. The difference is usually very small (~5% difference in impressions), but it's more blatant when the custom channel shows more clicks than the url channel.
I wonder if it has something to do with the leading "www." -- I include it in my url channels, so if someone goes to "widget.com/whatever.html" then maybe it doesn't trigger the channel. The question is, if you specify the channel as "widget.com/whatever.html" will it catch it when the user enters "www.widget.com/whatever.html"?

And yes, even I see some difference in custom and url channel values. I am pretty sure that the custom urls are more accurate. Agreed it is slightly more work for me but hey, as they say, no pains no gains :-)
