Hi, I know I am being lazy but...

I am changing domains, do I need to tell google, if I wanted to put the ads in my forum of the same site that they accepted, do I need to tell them / submit the forums for approval.

Thanks,

W.

4. Can I show ads on more than one site?
Yes, and you don't even have to let us know because we'll automatically detect new sites that contain the AdSense ad code. The HTML code we provide you with is valid for any page in any site on which you want to display AdWords ads. However, you may only place the AdSense ad code on sites that comply with our program policies and that you own or are legally authorized to act on behalf of for the purposes of Google AdSense. We also monitor all sites in AdSense to ensure that all pages displaying AdWords ads comply with our program policies.

Hope you'll check the FAQs and Program Policies next time. So many of the questions here can be answered that way. It's much quicker for you and it eliminates so many of the duplicate questions.

I disagree, if you are no longer using the domain you signed up with, I would notify them.
Adsense people are very excited when you communicate with them.

I doubt they are excited to get questions clearly addressed in their FAQs which is the case here. The answer quoted above is as clear as day.

And when they do get such questions, it's only reasonable to expect a canned response, yet that turns off a lot of people.

wonderboy,

I "would" inform them via a small email.

always nice to be told things, rather than finding out from a business point of view.

And people wonder why they don't have telephone support...which I'm sure everyone would expect to be toll free too. ;)

I am not exactly making a lot of money, so they would probably laugh at me for even bothering to tell them! Oh well, better safe than sorry.

I have found that communicating with Google over worries and clarification over the faqs very rewarding.

I am confident enough within myself to feel I am not pestering them. They invite our communication

"The Google team is happy to help you in any way we can."
[google.com...] and maybe our mail is kept and can be reviewed if a problem appears with things such as invalid clicks. Maybe they will treat me with the respect that I have shown them.

I am all for getting to know the hand that feeds me.

Asking for clarification of something that isn't clear, and there certainly are known instances of that in the FAQs and policies, is not the same thing as asking about something that is plain as day which is the case in the question that is the subject of this topic.

FAQs are there for a reason, one of which is to keep internal costs in check. Wasting their time by asking questions whose answers are provided to you already just slows response times for those whose questions are not.

wonderboy, it does no harm in contacting the Adsense Support Team, and after all that's what the support team is there for.

Blue_fin, there's no need to make things so military, and make people feel that they must follow some kind of correct procedure, and how dare they not read and reread the FAQs or TOS again before troubling those that are being paid to be troubled in the first place.

I agree we should all read the FAQs, TOS etc etc, & but as Sense_able has said if you send an Email to the support team at least you have on record your enquiry etc.

As for bothering the team with questions that are already laid down in the FAQs, TOS or any other written information, it does no harm in getting reassurance and peace of mind, if Blue_fin does not want to do that as he feels he has understood all there is to know about Adsense after having read the FAQs and TOS then good for him, that's one less Email coming the Adsense support teams way and more room for others.

Its plain and simple if your not sure on what you have read and you want reassurance, then do not think or feel you may be wasting somebody's time or resources send that Email, you never know you could be keeping somebody in a job.

I could not have put it better. Well put!

I agree, if you one does not understand this portion of the FAQ...

<4. Can I show ads on more than one site?

...then that person should feel free to send their question. I would think that the point that Blue_Fin is trying to drive home is that someone should not email a question to Google if they already know and are clear about the answer.

Not exactly. The point I'm trying to drive home is that when a question is clearly answered in the FAQs as is the case with the original question in the first post, there's nothing unclear that needs further clarification by bothering AdSense support.

And I think the fact that it says:

Before you submit your questions, we encourage you to review our FAQ.

on the Contact Us form would strongly suggest that they spend a lot of time simply restating their FAQs in a lot of the responses they provide.

As I said earlier, I'm in no way suggesting that you shouldn't contact Google AdSense for issues that need clarification, but when they say you don't even have to let us know, don't.

<The point I'm trying to drive home is that when a question is clearly answered in the FAQs as is the case with the original question in the first post, there's nothing unclear that needs further clarification by bothering AdSense support.>

While I think that this particular point is extremely clear to me, one of the clearest in the entire FAQ actually.. whether or not it is clear to anyone else is not for us to decide.

So there are two points here: 1) Do you contact Adsense support for answers in lieu of reading the FAQ? No. 2) Can you contact Adsense support for answers after reading the FAQ and still not feeling confident with the answers? Yes.
