Page rank related to Adsense?

Went from #2 PR before Adsense, then #70+

Prior to incorporating adsense into some of my pages on one of my sites, I was consistently #2 or #3 in page rank, cycle, after cycle.

Since including Adsense, my page ranking has droped to the 70's.

Then this weekend, up to Dec. 15th. I popped back up to #2. Which in turn generated 4 click throughs for Adsense. Not a huge amount, but still ... something.

Now, today, the 17th of Dec. my page rank is back down to #73.

My question is: Does Google cycle us up and down the page ranking to generate click throughs for their program? Anyone know?

From the AdSense FAQ:

6. How does participation in this program affect my site's position in the Google search results?
Participating in Google AdSense does not affect your site's rank in Google search results. Google AdSense will not affect the search results we deliver. Google believes strongly in freedom of expression and therefore offers broad access to content across the web. Our search results are unbiased by our relationships with paying advertisers and publishers. We will continue to show search results according to our PageRank technology.

Sounds like you were just a casualty of the florida update. I don't think adsense had anything to do with it.

99.9% sure that they are not related. I have been in the program since June, and only until the Florida update did I see some of my keywords be seriously affected. Check out the Google news board and you will see hundreds of people complaining.

Then again, there are always people complaining in that board. What hurts someone, benefits someone else...
