Hi Guys,

Here is something I don't quite understand. One of my websites has only one channel to track adsense earnings. I knew that one of 2 of the categories on my website wasn't getting a lot of clicks, so I divided the single channel in 2 channels : 1 channel for each category. As expected, one of the channels is making just nickels while the other one is generating me lots of money now. In fact, earnings have doubled for the whole website. How is this possible? The only thing I changed on the website is the channel number. I don't understand why the earnings have doubled.

whats happening is this

main channel = www.domain.com = $100.00

then custom channel 1 = $1.00
and custom channel 2 = $10.00

Total = 100.00 + 1.00 + 10.00 = a lot more

custom channels are added to the www channel in the reports, imagine if you had a channel for each ad unit, all added together earnings would be mega, you need to deduct or ignore the custom channels to get the true figure.

Hope you understand that, its not easy to explain

I replaced the original single channel with 2 channels.

Original situation : channel A : 100$

Situation now : channel B : 1$ and channel C : 200$

wheelie34. Can you explain it once more.I cannot understand what deductions you are talking. Does that mean the amount I now see in the All-time Earnings list needs a deduction?
