Hi is it ok to change the colour in your adsense code, without regenerating the whole code just input new numbers.

I am not suggesting that you are advocating this but I guess it needs to be said: I wouldn't be adding anything that isn't within Google's palette. My guess is that their system wouldn't accept any other values in any case.

I've been using colors outside of the AdSense palatte for a couple of years now. There doesn't seems to be any problem. You just type in the colors you want in the boxes when you are setting up a palatte. Otherwise how would people match pages to their site design?

On entering the colors directly onto your webpage. Just be very careful that you don't affect anything else about the code. It's against TOS to tamper with the code and if you mess up some of the code that you don't actually have a choice on it would look like tampering.

I'll second annej's warning. I've done multi-file find and replaces and broken the code. When I tracked down the problem, I discovered that I'd removed a space, or added a space. Nothing important, you'd think, but the code didn't work. All I got was a blank on that page.

You're not SUPPOSED to make changes by hand, even if it's a change that is meant to be exactly what you would get at the AdSense site. If you do it, do it carefully.

Besides being careful to not mess up the code as hunderdown stated, feel really free to use any color code you wish. The provided color choice box is understandably very limited and it is there because there must be one.
