Banned for Invalid Clicks - Is there Ever Another Reason?

All threads regarding being banned from the program seem always to be due to invalid clicks, anyone been banned of warning for anything else?

It appears to be if Google sends you the "you-are-banned" mail it about always says that you are banned due to "invalid clicks". But in Google-speak, that could mean anything...

Yes, I mooned the Google CEO'S and they got pretty angry. They pointed at me and said "Your adsense account is finished!"

I get the impression that Google uses the term "invalid clicks" to cover a multitude sins, not just clicking on your own ads.

Other reasons for getting booted might include things like:

- Using stolen content (which Google will hear about if someone files a DMCA complaint)

- Encouraging users to click on your ads, even if you don't click on the ads yourself

- Using ads in ways that are forbidden by the terms and conditions (such as modifying the AdSense code)

- Designing "made for AdSense" pages that use shady techniques like disabling the user's back button and providing no way out except to click on an ad.

I'm not suggesting that Google bans everyone who does such things (after all, the offenders have to get caught), but it's reasonable to assume that some people do get booted for such reasons if their sites are reported or flagged by bots for manual reviews.

It makes sense. If you break the TOS then all the clicks you got is invalid.

I think there are basically 2 form letters. One is "invalid clicks", the other is "associated with a previously banned account". Pretty much anything that can happen is considered to be covered by one of these 2 broad categories.
