Canadian user -- what type of payment?

USD by cheque, or CAD through ETF?

The value of the US dollar is low, so now may be a good time to "buy" them. I have three options, really:

- Receive USD by cheque
- Receive CAD by cheque
- Receive CAD through electronic transfer

Electronic transfer would be nice and easy. Anyone know of any other pros/cons?

USD by cheque is time consuming and can be costly if you convert back to CA. Also the cheque has to clear before you can spend the money.
No need to tell that the exchange rate the bank will give you is RIDICULOUS!

I also tried using the XE.com (XETrade) online service to exchange my money back to CA dollars. The rate was better than my bank but the process was time consuming too.

One day I tried the electronic transfer and was very surprised about the exchange rate G gave me. It was better than XETrade and no need to do anything. Also the money is available as soon as you see it in your account.

i don't have any other choice than cheques in my country. i don't pay so much for clearing it out, so I'm quite satisfied with it. anyway, decreasing exchange rate for USD is killing me too...
