And I have website with 140.000 page impressions per day but earning 4.5$ never hit 8$ per day on a single website!
But recently after reading articles here and there about 10k per months etc... I Got the feeling that some of you guys just lie about those high earnings!
I am in internet business since 1996. Don't really care much about adsense earnings just curious.
Open me if I am wrong!
Three things to check:
1) Make sure there are no PHP session id's in your urls
2) Use some sort of a script or cookies to count how many times the same user has viewed the AS ads. I would have limited the number of times a logged in user sees the AS ads to no more then 5 per visit...the script then stops displaying AS ads and replaces them by other network ads (preferably ones that pay based on CPM). No limitations for guests (users who are not logged in to your system).
3) Check out AS FAQ for ad placement hot spots.
Make sure all the above three are correctly in place and watch your income shoot up by at least 1000% if not more....you are not going to believe how much of a difference it makes.

What do you mean by no PHP session id's in URLs? I use ASP.NET, you mean like querystrings with id=45 etc?
I mean make sure your urls are search engines friendly.
1) phpsid=876782534jhwhwgebwb (is bad)
2) id=7862asdad672342hgasdb (is bad)
3) Dynamic url's with too many variables and worse still, one or two variables that consistently change for every user that visit the same page.
AS uses a cache system, it spider your page, analyse the content, pull out advertisers and then start caching the ads it displays (for that particular url). It will display PSAs or site wide ads (that pay zilch) until the page was spiderd and the proper relevant ads (for that page) are cached on their system. It has to go through the entire process if your urls keep changing (as it is often the case with dynamic urls)...keep that in mind.

I'm confused. Do you make $4.50 a day all together, or per website?250 * $4.50 = $1,125
I assume you mean all together?
Either way i'm impressed with some of the numbers in this thread. It has motivated me to touch up my site and try to drive more traffic to it. The biggest question is, where do you get traffic. Just from organic SE, or do you go PPC, link trades, etc?
Thanks
No I make that much per website but as mentioned before I dont use in all my websites adsense :)
And it has PR7! And in yahoo and msn has good ranking on certain keywords too.Its just members who visit today and tomorow and next day but almost same limited members.
How can you run 250 websites?
I pay 1 indian and 1 romannian company to monitor and update some of those websites .
But that same month I made $10,500+ from adsense. It was a good year. That was 2004 and now my traffic has dwindled but still makes a good living mostly from adsense because I don't use fastclick much anymore.
Well I play guitar since 2003!
And writing about 250 songs ( not all of them sent to record company )
But recently after reading articles here and there about 10k per months like Rolling Stones etc...
I Got the feeling that some of you guys just lie about those high earnings!

Get the point?
The fact that you're in the business for years and have thousands of visitors is no guarantee whatsoever for making big money...
