Is Mediabot still spidering sites?

Curious to see why I get so many alternative ads, I checked my log files to see if "mediabot" has paid a visit lately. To my surprise, there were no visits in November and none so far in December.

I have allowed Mediabot in the robot.txt file per Google's instructions. Googlebot still visits regularly.

Would/should mediabot visits show up in logfiles?

Color me stupid..... I was looking for "mediabot" and not "mediapartners". The Google AdSense spider identifies as "Mediapartners-Google/2.1".
And it's still perusing my sites.

We just tend to shorten it here by calling it mediabot - much easier than calling it the "Mediapartners-Google/2.1" or "Mediaparners Googlebot".

LOL, I can see myself making this mistake!

And forgive the off-topic'ness here, but I do want to thank you, John, and others who are thoughtful enough to post updates here when you figure stuff out. Too many others undoubtedly keep the group hanging after they later acquire more info about their initial observations.
