i have read many posts here with great interest about recent events at Google
now i run a very small site at the moment but used to get very consistant clicks, about 1 in every twenty visitors
for the last 3 days nothing?
this seems very odd.
How normal is this?
i have more traffic but no clicks and the adds dont seem to be that different to the norm
maybe one or two are a little off
i emailed goole and asked if everything was ok at my end they said they could find no problem and thanks for emailing.
many thanks
Doug

Since you haven't told us anything beyond the fact that you usually get a click every twenty visitors, that's impossible to answer.
If you usually average a click a day, three days in a row with no clicks is nothing strange. If you usually get ten clicks a day, well, no clicks at all for three day would be unusual but certainly not statistically impossible. If you usually get 100 clicks a day, I'd suspect you'd somehow screwed up your code.
Google's Search Team has been experimenting with a new search algo the past few weeks, which has been named "Big Daddy." More on this topic can be found over in Google Search News Forum: [webmasterworld.com...]
It appears the past few days there has been even more testing than previously conducted, which may have caused all types of "abnormal" fluxuations in some webmaster's visitor & adsense stats, while apparently others have not been affected at all, or even experienced positive effects. This of course should be expected as it is the nature of a "closed system" for things to balance out.
While it is difficult to attribute any changes you have noticed to exactly ONE event, and Google's algos are constantly making minor adjustments in the background, it is realatively easy to detect MAJOR changes.
For me, Google's experimentation with "Big Daddy" algo changes, is causing the number of pages of my site that are indexed in Google's SERPs to fluxuate "back & forth" throughout the week in seemingly random pattern, from 960 pages & the "old normal" 11,600 pages.
So yes, this can have a dramatic effect on one's stats... (IMHO)
