Possible to delete past adsense channel data?

Before I ask the big G and wait a wee while, is there a way to delete past adsense channel data?

I still want general stats for the past, but not the individual channel information in my account going back to the start.

AdSense Setup -> Channels -> Delete your channels, then make new ones. They'll have a different channel ID so they won't mix with the old channels even if they had the same name.

Thanks, but will that delete all the channel data from the past few years and not just from now on?

..the answer is no - the deleted channel name is still there when doing past reports...arrrggh!

I don't suppose anyone has managed to get Google to restore a deleted channel have they? I should of just renamed it...as that DOES change the past reports name as I wanted.
