I changed from sky scrapper to banner, and every single banner went to PSA with 30 minutes across 50,000 pages... Is this normal when switching banner types? I was just testing to see if i would get more revenue using a new format, normally PSA's don't show up for more then 3% of all pageviews.

I added a few new pages the other day and got many PSA right after that. I expected that for the new pages, of course, but it also seemed to affect all other ads on older pages, too.
Next morning, everything was fine again. Maybe Google decides to crawl the whole site again, if something changes, even if its only new banner types. I would give it a day, probably everything will be ok tomorrow.

Had the same experience last week when changing format in some pages from leaderboard to skyscraper. PSAs appeared where targeted ads used to be. I just abandoned the idea -- for now.

alika, when you changed back to the leaderboard format, did paying ads return immediately?

one page never went back to paying ads. i tried to look for any negative words that will trigger PSAs, but the article is about product selection and development, so no usual suspects (e.g. death, murder, etc.).

it took longer than usual (a few hours to a day) before the page targeted ads returned.

we also had skys that was showing PSAs for days that started to show targeted ads when changed to leaderboard.
