Yesterday I sent an email to Google asking their permission if I can change the payee name on my account. I asked them if I can change it to my aunt's name whos son was banned from adsense more than a year ago. I also stated that If this is not possible you can change it to my wife's name. Strangely just now I recd. an email from Google saying taht you are banned for invalid clicks.

I have obviously never clicked my own ads. Infact my CTR had dropped down a bit since 4-5 days. I have asked Google if I can use ads below images to which they said yes & I added a broder. I really dont understand this & is very discouraging as Google adsense was the main source of income from my sites & had future plans with this income. I also monitor my ad clicks thru diff softwares like adsrep & clicklogger. I dont see an IP clicking my ads for long time. This is truly disappointing.

I have also emailed them my asrep logs which clearly shows that theres no click fraud done.

It was my aunt's son who was banned not my aunt. So why does my aunt or I suffer?

Because the most obvious way for a banned publisher to start earning money again is to launder the money through a relative or a friend.

Remember, Google isn't a court of law, and nobody has to be proven guilty for Google to ban an account. Terminating the relationship with a publisher is a business decision, and--if Google's QC team thinks something shady might be going on--they may well make a decision to ban the account simply to protect advertisers. (I'm not saying that's what happened in your case, but it isn't a completely unreasonable guess.)

Googles viewpoint (on information supplied)

cousin had mailing address same as aunts (lived there)
cousin banned from adsense
you have another site
purchase cousins site
ask to have money sent to original address of booted cousin

If I were google adsense this would light up the board in my opinion. Have to think you are cousin getting back under account name (new) putting ads back on original site then finally getting the money re-routed back to him. That would be Google's opinion based on the facts you have supplied.

Google has a generic letter they send to people who have been banned for being associated with previously banned accounts, and this wasn't it. Thus IMO it's likely that the email triggered a very close examination of the account, and the connection to the cousin wasn't the sole reason for being banned.

Good Grief!
If your website is the same as associated with your email account all one has to do is check out the Hot Picks on the right to understand why you are banned.

Generating clicks with suggestive or porn material IS fraud clicks.

(EDIT) It is not porn but it is very suggestive...

Yes, clearly "adult or mature content".

What exactly is defined as mature content? A couple of my ad agencies, ie. Fastclick/Tribalfusion, run some online dating ads. Some of the graphics show women in bikinis. Is this considered mature content?

Sorry if I'm not sympathetic here but this thread has had me in stitches all day starting with "My Aunt's Son was banned", so blame it on the cousin, that's what they call your Aunt's Son if you didn't know.

BTW, why did you need to change the payee's name?

Need someone to cash the checks while you're incarcerated or something?

I just don't get this whole discussion, it's insane.

To the orignal post..

Are you sure you are telling the whole story?

Be sure that google known much more about you and your site, your aunt and her son, than any one of us do.

Obviously there's no hard and fast answer to this question. I don't think bikinis in and of themselves would put a site over the line, but when I took a look at that site it was simply smutty.

The fact that one of the titillating articles was about a gang-rape and was illustrated with a lurid picture of a lingerie-clad woman lying on a bed didn't exactly endear the site to me.
