do I email adsense? great increase in traffic from good keyword rank

traffic up 10 fold on just one keyword

this is one interesting development, and seems to be genuine traffic from all over the country on one keyword where my site ranks high. maybe it was mentioned in the news or in other sources? I haven't heard anything myself, but then again, i could be looking in wrong places.

the clicks are very normal (less than 5% click through) and the payouts are normal on this volume. not sure how long this will last (a day or two), but I've never made so much in one day, EVER.

it's eating my bandwidth like crazy, and two of the top 5 sites on this keyword were hosted on free servers and are now down on bandwidth limits. I hope my site can hold it together...

this may go away soon, but in the meantime, is it necessary to email AdSense and let them know there's great increase in traffic?

Don't waste your time and theirs. Imagine if people start emailing google about the increase of their traffic, increase in ctr, etc.
