More over the site is having adsense running on it and we are also running adsense. I already sent an email to adsense support for this. Its a subsite or a section of our site which is copied ditto with so many adsense around it. Looking at the whois of the domain its owned by big IT Company here. What they did is kept all content of our subsite which is oursite.com/subsitewithkeyword/

they made keyword.com and copied all there!

So can we list here what should be done to avoid this kind of content theft? i know i can file DMCA with google which i will be doing tomorrow once i have reply from adsense support.

I wouldn't wait for a response from AdSense support.

Go through the DMCA process as outlined at Google. Then contact AdSense and let them know you have filed the DMCA complaint.

Let us know what happens.

It looks really crazy on part of the IT company to really steal content. I agree with FarmBoy

It may be an employee of company doing without notice to the company. I am collecting evidences which will support my claim.

I am in India and the alleged site is also operated by an Indian company. If any further legal action starts AFAIK US DMCA may not sustain in Indian Jurisdiction.

US DMCA may not sustain in Indian Jurisdiction

as i understand the DMCA rules, an american company is not allowed to support copyrighted info. this means all of the following:

-the host, if american, is not allowed to host the copyrighted content
-any american search engine is not allowed to LINK to the infringing content (google, yahoo, msn)
-an american registrar is not allowed to manage the domain
-most importantly, for this forum, google (an american comapany) is not allowed to help an infringer profit with it's adsense program.

in our experience, adsense accounts are promptly closed shortly after filing a DMCA request.

this is why google has a specific page of instructions on how to report sites that run adsense along with copyrighted content.

it usually takes about a month, but you can get rid of these offenders pretty easily.

U can also send a 'copy' of the DMCA to the adsense team, as mentioned here :

Details and adsense fax number is given above.

I've done some things in the past... little work but turned out to be worth it.

My site has images and video. When I would find a site that copied the content, it would usually include the link to the file.

So I would Make that file a advertisement for my site and rename the correct one for mine. So when one of their visitors clicked on the video it would play a short film that said "Want bla bla bla go to mydomain.com"

Funny after almost 6 months they still havent caught it. HAHA...
