www.thedomain.com
I want to ad some more content but the server I have is nearing it's capacity.
I have been adding sections like:
www.thedomain.com/newcontent
What I would like to do is:
newcontent.thedomain.com
And then link to newcontent.thedomain.com versus www.thedomain.com/newcontent
This way I can just start setting up new sections on another server versus moving the entire site.
Does it really make a difference? www.thedomain.com is a pr5.
Would newcontent.thedomain.com versus www.thedomain.com/newcontent be just as good?
But overall it sounds like the correct thing to do is simply bite the bullet and upgrade to a larger webspace. Having the same site split across two domains, not to mention uploading files to two different servers, can be quite a pain. It can also be a pain to relocate those pages on the subdomain when you eventually do upgrade.
Like if we had
www.domain.com/toefungus
versus
toefungus.domain.com
Google would rate www.domain.com/toefungus just as well as toefungus.domain.com?
I didn't know if google looks at
toefungus.domain.com as more of a toefungus site versus a site that would be
www.domain.com/toefungus
www.domain.com/skinfungus
www.domain.com/bellybuttonlint
