MediaBot Not Visiting My Site

Long time lurker and first time poster. Been lurking for a few months and have learned a great deal of information from all of you here. I wish I could offer something in return but I'm still learning Adsense myself! I've had Adsense on 3 sites of mine for over a year now and have had no issues. I had a 4th site that I never thought of adding my code on but decided to about 4 days ago. The site is ran on E107 CMS program. I thought there was a targeting issue at first since all the ads are related to hosting and CMS programs. But I just noticed that google hasn't even visited the site once since I've added the code. I've just learned from reading some other threads that it's not always 'instant' that relevant ads show but is it odd that after 96 hours that my site is still displaying generic ads and no visit from the Google crawler listed in my Awstats?

Thanks in advance for any advice, and thanks to all once again for sharing a wealth of information on this great board!

Welcome, Jim. Is the nyc "New York City"? If so, you must be an early bird posting at this time of the morning!

In the past I have had a similar problem with specific pages, but not whole sites. When I contacted Adsense support after 3 or 4 days of non-targetting, they emailed back and said to give their robot more time. However, after 2 or 3 weeks the ads were still generic, so I emailed them and they reset the page and the problem was fixed within a day.

So, I'd suggest giving it a bit more time and, if you still have generic ads after a couple of weeks, then email adsense support and tell them the site isn't displaying targetted ads.

Yep, the nyc refers to New York, although I'm actually just above the city in Westchester now. I'm up everyday by 3am working on content, reading forums and drinking coffee!

Thanks for the advice, I'm not in a big rush and I'll wait it out for a week or 2 before making any contact with support.

Thanks!

Geez Jim, get some sleep why don't ya? :)

I would give it at least another week. Sometimes the bots can be slow.

I just fixed your title so that it says mediabot, instead of just Google.

Are you looking for Mediabot in your log files?
