Hi,

I have some new content pages .

As an example i have a page about the planet mars.
But the ads that are showing up are about monkeys.

I dont quite understand why the right ads are not showing. The content is very well written and it is clear that its about the planet mars.

Any help guys?

There may be one word, perhaps in your title, or a header, in your nav bar, or even in the body text, that is triggering the ads. See if you can find a word or words that might be causing it.

I had an article about writing, and the author used a metaphor about baking a cake--just a couple of sentences in a long article. And all I got was cake recipe ads.

If you can't identify the source of the problem, just watch for a few days and see what happens. If it doesn't get better spontaneously, try "section targeting." Do a search for this in the AdSense help area.

Having the same problem, I was wondering if I can put the

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

tags around my meta keywords or does it have to be in the body, tos does not clearly specify.

How long ago did you add the code to your pages? If it was just in the last couple of days, it could be that the AdSense crawler hasn't yet indexed the content of your site. Sometimes it's just a matter of waiting.

Also, is there a lot of text-based content on your pages? If not, try adding more sentences and paragraphs about relevant topics.

Thanks -

The ads do seem to be more targetted now. I have alot of content per page and it was just the case of our good old friend "TIME"
