Hello everyone,

I run a website (is there a reason people rarely mention their sites on this forum?) that gets around 71 clicks a month, 20,000 page impressions, page eCPM $0.84 CTR is .4.

I just discovered this site, and had NO IDEA there was so much of a science to adsense earnings.

A few questions.

- How is my site performing, considering my naive placement of ads?

- What are some basic things everyone should do in order to increase their ad performance?

Thanks for any tips! I'll be scouring the forums...

Your forums have 8x better CTR than my static site. A good chunk of AdSense success is what industry you're in. Generally, having "un-tech-savvy" users is a boon as well (but not always, thats just a generalization).

Good luck!

- Your forums have

Actually they're not forums, it's a blog, plus a forum. Why did you expect it to be a forum?

Welcome to WW, Saikyo...

is there a reason people rarely mention their sites on this forum?

Yes. It is against WW policy to promote your own website, sell, or recruit while using the forums.

Have you ever heard that saying, "If you build it, they will come?"

What needs to be added to this (in reference to web success) is the fact that what you build, should be something of quality.

Meaning, you should concentrate on building a content rich, quality website; use some basic SEO techniques - and the successes of Adsense ad placements, and affiliate programs (if you choose them), will eventually happen.

Basically, your ad performance will increase when you increase traffic.
