AdSense performance in other languages

Who can give me some numbers for German sites?

I have a website, which I translate currently from English to German. However, when I look at my AdSense channels, it seems that the English sites outperform the German ones (with identical content, just different language) by far. I can't say that the ads on the German website are not targeted. They actually are. It's just that no one is clicking. Did anyone here make a similar experience?

My site is in a niche with some adverts in English and very few in other languages (I have 8 language versions, 6 of them with AS, 2 languages are not allowed for AS at the moment).

English ads appear on pages in other languages as well. However, due to the nature of the niche, most visitors to other language versions can speak English as well.

CTR comparison:

Spanish - 110%
English - 100%
German - 90%
Italian - 90%
French - 60%
Hungarian - 55%

eCPM comparison:

English - 100%
French - 85%
Italian - 80%
German - 65%
Spanish - 55%
Hungarian - 30%

thanks for the stats jay7. that would explain a lot. i'm in the german market. advertisers are still behind schedule here.. but maybe being very stingy, they optimize harder concerning low-bidding, that's my impression.
visitors seem to be more informed about the adsense scheme which doesn't quite imply positive signs for earning bucks with a website.

I am in exactly the opposit process. Translating my German sites to English

Theme A

German slightly higher eCPM
German 50% higher CTR

Theme B

German 350% higher eCPM
German 230% higher CTR

Theme C (tourism not German country)

German 66% lower eCPM
German 30% lower CTR

Theme D (tourism German area)

very similar results

Theme E

German 220% higher eCPM
German 30% less CTR

You see, depending on the site,
I can find proof for each theory.

German websites perform much better
German websites perform equal
German websites perform much worse

PS: Someone in another post complained about the use of the term "guys". I know, I know. By far not everyone here is a guy. Hence, let me rephrase it to "gals and guys".
