Hi Guys,

Juts noticed something very strange. At the beginning of the month I made a small mistake in my adwords campaign for a website (I shall name it website X) resulting in a very large Adwords bill (10x the budget of a normal day for one day). A few days after this mistake my earnings in Adsense went up to almost 5 times my normal earnings. These earnings are for website X and a number of other websites. This was a new Adwords campaign for website X and had nothing to do with my Adsense code on my other websites. Yesterday I paused the Adwords campaign for website X. Today my earnings for all my websites are just 50% of yesterday's earnings. Very, very strange ... I hope it was just Bigdaddy :-)

Did that mistake result in more traffic to that website? If so, wouldn't that explain the increase in income?

That's what I wondered - sounds like you probably had your other sites linked, and so if you didn't catch them on one site, you caught them on another.

Hi Guys,

Website X is a brandnew site (as of January) and has about 500 uniques per day (except for that one day at the beginning of February :-) ). This website is related in no way at all to my other sites nor did I exchange links. Only Ecpm increased and decreased for all the sites during the Adwords campaign. It could be that this is related to the Bigdaddy update because not all of my websites were affected at the same time. Guess I will enable the campaign again in a few days and see what happens :-)

It's also quite conceivable that your larger ad budget pushed up the charges on other sites in your niche who would be appearing on your site.

I find that my earnings drop noticibly if my main competitor is off line with AdWords for some reason.
My AW CPC usually drops as well.
