The question:
How long did it take you to reach steady (or semi-steady) $1 days? and.. how much of that was due to Google-generated search traffic?
My site has barely been up for 1 month, only just got all (most) pages indexed by Google a few days ago.. but so far my total Google-search traffic has been 2 visitors. I'm not complaining - i know it will take months (while i keep adding content). i'm just curious how long it too for some of the other members..
?
I pay for my traffic (Adwords) plus most of my visitors are repeat visitors who come back to check news, check their e-mail accounts etc.
Ask yourself: If you can't reach $1/day, then what can you do to increase value of your website? For example, you need targeted/repeat traffic, you need rich content, you need good website design, optional services that will please your visitors, etc.
Don't give up.
This was on a site that previously earned $3 or $4 a day from affiliate programs.
Traffic then was probably around 1,000 unique visitors/day.
My earnings looked like this:
February - $ 3.50
March - $ 8.42
April - $ 25.88
May - $ 72.59
June - $143.86
It sort of stagnated here, I moved house and couldn't get an internet connection for about 6 months. Traffic took a hit.
So, about 3 months to get to the $1 a day mark,
but what happened during the last 6 months? How can u suddenly got such a big amount coming in?
I've finally got a new internet connection (dial up) so I am able to update more regularly now. Traffic is increasing so I expect it to start growing again.... I hope
Jan 14th - 45 impressions/day - Release day
Jan 25th - 130 impressions/day - After some self-promotion
Feb 5th - 1,000 impressions/day - Main page gets in Google SERPS
Feb 14th - 10,000 impressions/day - About 50 of my pages join the Google SERPs
Google SERPs are perhaps making up too much of the traffic. Now I just need to figure out how to raise my CTR, heh.
