Trigger Alt Ads When Click Values Drop

I don't think it's possible, but I'm asking

When click values drop below the 5 cent level on certain pages, I would like to be able to switch to my alternate ad suppliers automatically since they pay more. Is there a clever way to do this?

If not, I don't know about the rest of my fellow AdSense publishers, but this is a feature that I would really want Google to provide us. When clicks drop below the 5 cent level, I have my own alternate ad suppliers that pay more money. I don't want to stack my alternate ads on the same page because the AdSense ads occupy the page "sweet" spots, and it makes the pages look junky.

I also would like a URL argument that Google recognizes, I could append to a page URL that would force the Alt-Ad to appear, for testing purposes. For example "&altad=1".

What do you think?

Thanks. I would have thought others here would have thought it useful but I guess we're in the minority. I can't imagine anyone else is thrilled when they get 2-3 cent clicks, but who knows.

Hmm, not sure if one exists but I would try to find either an Adsense class/module for PHP or Perl that can scrape the data from adsense. Then you could determine if channel X is below $.y and then display the alternate ad.

I fear though, that until adsense comes out with a public API, all of these classes and/or modules will be subject to malfunctions when google changes their layout.

I think it's a premium feature.
Allowing any publisher to set a minimum acceptable CPC and CPM has been requested many times before, I hope ASA would confirm forwarding this request.
