The Adsense Ads are off target today, I am receiving Translation Ads on my Software Download Site, But Adlinks are on-target. Anybody else, Experiencing Same?

I am, but just one one specific page of my site (all the rest are targeting fine). The content of said page hasn't changed at all - but it is a highly trafficked page and it is killing my CTR. Been like this for two days.

Yeah! Exactly the same , Two of my Highest traffic receiving pages are experiencing off-targeting but all other pages are fine, I blocked the Untargetted URL but Now I am receiving other Off-target advt., Now it is MIXED with 70% Ads on target but rest completely UNRELATED.

I have had very spotty targeting on 3 of my sites since Friday. I saw my impressions the same as usual, but my ctr rate down big - alltime lows. I figured something was wrong.

No changes on my end and not new sites. Been with adsense 3 years. Contacted them too. Really hurting CTR since Friday.?

I noticed this today myself.. For some reason I get some ad about optimizing Windows XP.. Nothing on my site about windows, the keyword is not in the page or the URL.

It seems that every 2 weeks Google will do some changes.

What I am seeing is ads that are related to other pages on my sites, appearing on the wrong pages. After refreshing a few times, they may re-set to target the page, but sometimes they are not.

It's almost like Google is reading the whole website, rather than the specific page. That hurts when they do that, since I have themed sites, but each page is very specific.

My ctr seems a little better early today, but I haven't checked my sites too deeply yet.

Im seeing completely untargeted ads and then its swapping to all PSA's. Record low CTR. Come on Google...

Anyone else seeing the PSA phenonemon as well?

Within the past hour I have seen Adsense ads on my site for (1) a "work at home" scheme (2) a toolbar that installs spyware on the user's computer, and (3) "illegal racing."

These ads have absolutely no relevance to my site, and I do not appreciate Google serving this evil dreck to my visitors.

I've simply had it with the lack of quality control at Adsense. My earnings have improved lately but if this is why, I want no part of it. I've pulled the ads and I don't think I'll be using Adsense again, unless Google starts giving publishers control over ad content (ha ha ha).

fairla, in my experience ads like that disappear pretty fast, though whether that's because Google catches them (they supposedly DO review ads but only once they are already live), or because they just didn't interest my visitors and the algorithm dropped them, I don't know.

You can block them with the competitive ad filter. I'd do that, instead of pulling all the ads.

Hunderdown, thank you for the reply. I've been using the competitive ad filter, but I've already used up almost all the 100 slots and the unacceptable ads keep coming. Google needs to start reviewing things before they go live. This is just the last straw for me - I hate to throw money away, but my visitors trust me and I can't have them seeing spyware ads etc. on my site.

I wish Google treated publishers with as much consideration as it does advertisers. I've got near total control over the other ads on my site, but none over the Adsense ads, and I'm fed up. I'm going to wait for a change in Google policies toward publishers (ha ha ha) before I trust them again. Thanks for letting me vent.

Since your filter is full, and you see lots of these ads, I totally understand. I'd be pretty annoyed if I saw them more than very occasionally....
