Is it possible to tie AdSense into Google Analytics at all?
If not, how many would find this useful?
I'd like to know which referrers are the most profitable.

I would like such a feature but it's not really necessary.

Google Analytics doesn't offer anything like it - you'll have to write/find something custom to track clicks, and the referer as well. Not that hard to do, really.

It's doable, you need to add a little javascript to your page. It doesn't catch everything - as I understand it, only IE clicks are registered - but it's a start. Won't post the url, but google some relevant terms . . .
