See the AdSense ad-layout page. Instructions for rotating color schemes are next to the color choices. You can use the stock color schemes or design your own.

yea i know about the schemes and creating my own but is there a way to have them display a diff color each time automatically. Lets say i put a 250 x 250 box adsense ad on my page. I want to have 3 different colors displaying randomly per every impression.

We don't currently offer random color rotations. However, you can rotate up to 4 color palettes of your choice, which we've also found helps to combat ad blindness (I assume this is the reason you'd like to rotate palettes).

In general we've found ad colors that complement your site color scheme are more effective, so choosing your own rotating color palettes can be an effective optimization tool.

For instructions, see:

Under AdSense for Content by color palettes it says, "Select a color palette for your ads. Hold down the Control or Command key to select multiple palettes that will rotate randomly on your web page."

I did it for a while and it was kind of fun.
