It would be foolish to only allow image ads--then you would get NO ads a good bit of the time. But that's not an option in any case.

AKAIK it's also not possible to disallow animated ads--but someone else may know better.

well you say its foolish but i say its CRAPPY to have ugly text ads when you style around gfx ads

i show alt ads if there is no ad to show duuuude

Sorry, dood. It's only foolish if you care more about your income than your style. I think you're going to be getting a lot of alt ads.

But you make me wonder why you joined AdSense, when there are so many graphic banner networks that would suit your style better? After all, AdSense started as a text ad program. Graphics ads are still only a small part of the inventory.

So if you want the AdSense income, which for many people is better than the alternatives, you might at least consider finding a way to make the text ads NOT look crappy. If you can't or don't want to do that, then your best bet is to look elsewhere--or perhaps you could try emailing AdSense support and ask them to do a custom setting for your account.
