AdSense for my websites Search Results page?

Question... How can I integrate Google AdSense into my own search engine results page? From what I can tell, the AdSense ads are delivered based on the content of a static page? I would want to simply pass the query to AdSense and receive the relevant ads... so the ads would be generated on a dynamic page. Content of the results page could range from computer parts to european history to california wine country - could be anything.

I would display Ads in the right column of my results page (just like google does) -and- possibly have the ads interspersed with the search results that I provide my searchers? Obviously it would be clear they are sponsored ads... I am not trying to be deceptive.

Do I have to use the image-based text ads that AdSense generates or can I somehow get the HTML for the ads and place them myself?

Your thoughts? If anyone is interested in consulting with me on this, let me know.

Thanks,
g

Geronimofo... welcome to WW!

The question you ask is a dynamic programming task that many webmasters use to generate targeted Adsense ads. The Adsense algorithm is initiated by a Javascript function that you copy into your static or dynamic webpages.

For example, if you're creating dynamic webpages using ASP calls to an Access or SQL database, the Google Adsense algorithm will match ads to the dynamic content created from your ASP pages.

You can only use Google's Adsense code which is generated through your Adsense account, to place on static or dynamic pages.

Not sure if that answered your question, but post again if it didn't.

Thanks, Celgins...

I have searched everywhere for some kind of documentation that explains this technique. Do you know of any websites that talk about the process or show examples of this functionality?

Also, do you know if this breaks Google's AdSense Terms and Conditions?

thanks,

From Google's AdSense T&C:

"Any AdSense ad code, search box code, or referral code must be pasted directly into Web pages without modification. AdSense participants are not allowed to alter any portion of the ad code or change the layout, behavior, targeting, or delivery of ads for any reason."

It sounds like your suggestion goes against their policy... doesn't it?

Why don't you ask Google. That's the best place to get your answer.

sounds like adlinks may be what will help out. Or, contact Google and talk with them about it.

I know someone who intergrates like that and he worked closely with Google on the concept. I am not free to give out the url as it is not my site so please DON'T sticky me.
