For those of you with right and left side skyscraper experience I am interested to know how the left siders have worked out for you.

Left side is much better. I only use one block and originally had it on the right. I moved it to the left after a few months' experience and CTR immediately doubled and stayed there.
It's just more noticeable on the left. I start it where the article starts.
