I was having a constant eCPM and CTR from the last few months, suddenly from the last two days the eCPM has dropped by 4-5% but CTR has remained the same, I had heard about Google's new "Big Daddy" Update, can this be considered a result of that, My earnings had suffered from it and I am receiving $30-$40 less what I was receiving before the eCPM drop.

Groan - not another update!

Why don't they just make the point they are constantly updating everything, and not bother calling it anything. it's just like the MFI sale - I don't remember a day when they didn't have a sale!

eCPM has dropped by 4-5%

Did you say 4-5% drop? It must be the wind, not BigDaddy!

To me and many others its much worse.
Ecpm and earnings have dropped gradually to about 50% for the past weeks. Guess it's an algo update.
Anyone have any idea what kind of sites and pages are being punished now and why they do so?

ctr and ecpm can drop without any changes in traffic... all it takes is the loss of some key advertisers, or maybe a budget gets cut here and there... all of a sudden you start seeing lousy ads that nobody wants to click on.

you guys need to start at square one, and first quantify any changes in your traffic patterns... up or down, more or less, are you seeing google image traffic?

for me, the traffic started increasing a couple of weeks ago, but the earnings dropped hard... never to return.

Whatever it is "Big Daddy" or the "Wind" earnings fell by atleast $30/Day.

Now :
1) My CTR is same but eCPM dropped,
2) Ads are same.
3) Traffic source's are same.

What, can be the reason?

Based on the numbers you're quoting, your revenue has gone down from $750 per day to $720, or something on about that scale. I can't understand why you haven't been seeing variances as large as this or larger every day for as long as your site has been online.

There's no need to look for a reason. One's site traffic and one's AdSense CTR and CPC intrinsically vary quite a bit each day. Wait a day and it'll change again.

I can only assume the op means a $4-5 drop, surely no one would bother mentioning a 4% drop.
My own ecpm has dropped a similar amount since Jan 27, ctr and visitors are fine.

First of all I am seeing this change from last two days, I know it can be a temporary issue, Also, I was earning $70-$90 (Approx.) and I went down below $50/Day now from last two days, the thing which is making me worry is that EVERYTHING is same EXCEPT eCPM.

I had the best month ever in January, almost double my average. My eCPM is up. Could this be related to BD?

deepesh,

These things happen. Things will return to normal sooner rather than later.

deepesh,
Based on your numbers, it has dropped by 40%-50%, not 4-5%.
