What is G's (or CJ's for that matter) stance on putting ad-links as part of webpage content?
For example: "..keeping your widgets clean will make them last longer. Check the links below for more info -adsense link banner here- "

I agree, that is prohibited by AdSense because you are inducing clicks. Against the rules.

Hi there -

Check out the AdSense program policies section on 'Incentives' ([google.com ]).

It sounds like the language proposed in your post would qualify as an incentive to click.

It is best now to show adlinks in content. and it does NOT increase your CTR in general.

Horizontal text links just above or below the top horizontal bar make sense, and even if you replace the top horizontal bar with adlinks, u get a good ctr and the advertiser gets good qualified traffic.
