I run a very niche web site and there are only so many ads that cover this. So, you keep seeing the same ads day in and day out. Is there a way to get different ads that do not relate to my site?

Unless you reach Premium Publisher status, there really is no way to adjust the ads being served on your site. Even as a PP, I think you can only suggest keywords for ads you want shown.
It's all based on Googles algorithm for displaying ads.
Besides that, why would you want irrelevant ads showing anyway?
