I had an adsense account until a few months ago when it was banned for 'invalid clicks'. As I am sure most publishers who are banned say, I really know nothing about it. I do not click on my own ads and do not instruct anyone to do so and was compliant with all the other conditions.
I tried repeatedly to get answers from google, with no meanful response. When you're out, you're out!
I have recently discovered an very intersting pattern that I was a little suspicious of before.
I know someone who had set up their adsense account from my computer who was banned shortly after me for being 'associated with a banned account' so I am aware of the two main reasons for being banned.
The reason for being banned?
Early last year I aquired a previously deleted domain that was previously a chinese site. The site was getting a significant amount of traffic from links from chinese sites (2500 uniques per day). The theme of the site was no different than it was under the previous owner, but the language was different.
Another webmaster now has a link from the site to their site and is getting quite a lot of traffic following the link. He has been finding that the users are clicking quite a bit on his adsense ads.
Today he was banned for 'invalid clicks'. So this is not for 'being associated with a banned account', yet he is not responsible for the link to his site. I have looked at his site and cannot see any other reason for getting banned.
Are the non-english speaking visitors coming through on the link from my site causing an 'invalid' click pattern? Is this possible? Is there anything in the adsense terms and conditions about the language of users since this is not a redirect or anything dodgy?

I would say it's highly possible. Even though the site is written in English, the ads are geotargeted and possibly show Chinese language ads. They could be clicking on them because the language is familiar to them and they want to leave your site in a hurry because they don't understand English.
I only serve AdSense ads to English language browsers. And I might narrow that down to en-us and en-ca.
The next question is that these clicks are only 'invalid' because the user finds themselves on a site not in their language. This should really have been picked up by adsense technicians when reviewing my enquiries (4 emails each way).
anyway. there certainly are lots of people around who have been booted and have had their say and a bit of a complain about it. for those people still in adsense the lessons here might be worth knowing about. we all seem to not have too much of an idea about it all and unless you fly totally whitehat and basically do little to further your internet presence.
when it comes down to it, it is all speculation and suspicion and G just does not shed any light on it. booted publishers are left in the dark, even if they did nothing wrong, and the rest are left with the uncertain threat of the boot.
guilty and never proven innocent.
by the look of it i could link that site to any publisher and get them booted within 4 weeks. that's not very encouraging for anyone!
Maybe Google never saw an quality converts coming from your site so they booted you? Not totally sure, but look around in this forum and you'll find different ways to getting back in LEGITIMATELY.
