Clicktraps vs MFA

Which one is more profitable business model?

I'll start off by saying that BOTH are (or should be) against the TOS and should be booted. I'll also say that G don't seem to be that bothered by them, and despite several complaints about one pure clicktrap, it's still there.

Maybe the difference between them is that MFA's may have at least a smidgeon of content. The click trap I refer to has one adlinks unit and three adblocks on one page - nothing else. Oh, and the back button was disabled.

Anyway, given that there seems only a small chance of Google booting you for having a pure clicktrap, is it a profitable business model?

My experience of being an adwords avertiser is not overly successful. I want people to visit the site, but it would also be nice if some of them clicked on the ads too. The reason they didn't, and I suspended the campaign for a while was content - I have shedloads of it. However, this time around my current campaign is very good at appearing above the other scammers - click price is enough to be at the top, but low daily budget.

So the business model for my new site:- A clicktrap as described above (no content - only way to exit is via an ad) and adwords. A couple of $ a day in adwords should be repaid by loads of clicks on the ads. Simple and foolproof!

Now all I need is suggestions for a topic.

just landed today on a click-trap by following an adwords ad. so i guess it was profitable for the *&^ webmaster to advertise his click trap page through adwords.

I take it this is another "I reported a site to Google and they didn't ban it yet" thread. Well so what? Report it again.

I'm sure Google gets thousands of these and they have to prioritize them, investigate the site, probably contact the site owner and wait some period of time to see if they respond and/or fix their site, etc.

Of course people are making money, otherwise Google wouldn't be earning billions a year.

Advertising with AdWords and making profit just isn't as easy as slapping a few AdSense ads on your website.

Making money with AdWords is quite hard. You just gotta know the tips and tricks to use it. I started using AdSense in April 2005 and Adwords in October 2005. A friend of mine with 30+ websites that used AdWords and AdSense only made $20/day. I consider myself quite observant so I was able to pick up some techniques in using AdWords. I was making $5/day and it just slowly kept going up. After signing up with Yahoo Publisher Network, my earnings jumped to an AVERAGE of $80/day. I been going through a rough patch the last three weeks but my earnings are starting to come back up. I wouldn't really say i'm successful until i get back to my $1000/month earnings.

Forgot to mention I had only FOUR 3-pages sites featuring a directory database at that time.
