Competitive Ads and Services
We do not permit Google ads or search boxes accessing Google search services to be published on web pages that also contain what could be considered competing ads or services. If you have elected to receive contextually-targeted Google ads, this would include all other contextually-targeted ads or links on the same page as Google ads. This would also include ads throughout the site that mimic Google ads or otherwise appear to be associated with Google on your site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads do not mimic Google ads. If you have elected to receive Google search services, this would include other search services on the same site and non-Google query-targeted ads. We do allow affiliate or limited-text links.

Some of the advertisers allow you to put Text links ads up that say for example, "Buy blue widget".I meant that kind of Text Link.
Can that not be placed on same page as google?
Based on my understanding of the program policies, that type of text link is permitted on the same page as AdSense ads.
As with all things AdSense, I'd put it on a page then send the URL to AdSense support and ask for their opinion. Then save the response email.
It's also helpful to everyone else if you'll come back and let us know how AdSense replied.

I can assure you that there are literally thousands of websites that have affiliate links on the same page as AdSense, including my own.
To those who recommend emailing Google and asking them, if that makes you feel better then I guess you should do it but the whole purpose of Google detailing this information on their website is to prevent the same questions being asked of their techs repeatedly.
Oney52, I really don't understand what isn't clear about "We do allow affiliate or limited-text links."...To those who recommend emailing Google and asking them, if that makes you feel better then I guess you should do it but...
I agree with what you're saying, but we don't know how someone who reads this thread plans on using affiliate or limited-text links.
For example, someone might put up a text affiliate link, which is permitted, while making that affiliate link mimic AdSense ads on that page, which is not permitted.
That's why I suggested letting AdSense look at the actual implementation.

Again I agree with your sentiments, but I don't think it's a good idea, especially for someone new to AdSense, to make decisions based on what you see on other sites. We all know there are lots of terms violations that exist and AdSense doesn't seem to do anything about.
If that creates an additional workload for AdSense, in my opinion they sort of brought in on themselves.
It's like a street that's posted with "No Parking" signs yet there are a number of vehicles parked there and a police officer stands nearby seemingly unconcerned about the parking violaters. Cars keep driving up wanting to park there but are not sure after seeing the "No Parking" sign, so the police officer repeatedly gets asked if it's OK.
If this aggravates the police department and keeps them busy, they should do their job and enforce the parking policy or the signs should be removed.
