Need more ad control

I had to withdraw from Adsense because it didn't give me enough control over the ads that are shown on my website. I run oil-testimonials.com and it caters to people who use Young Living Essential Oils. I can't show other alternative healing ads because most of them mention other brands for oils and health products.

Is there a way I can manually hand-pick ads I want shown?

Thanks.

First of all, I would like to inform you that (AFAIK) Webmasterworld does not allow us to post the URL of our own website in our post. The moderator will edit it later if you do.

You cannot pick and choose the advertisers but you can filter those advertisers that you do not want to be displayed at your site.

If you found that Adsense is displaying ads from your competitors, then I think you have made the right decision in withdrawing from Adsense.

Does Amazon paying you well? I found that it is hard to make money from Amazon unless the ads are related to the topics that I am writing.

All the best to your site.

If your site is so tightly focused than your best approach is to work directly with sellers of those products, IMO.

If you plan on signing up with Google Adsense again, you would need to use the "Competitive Ad Filter." It allows you to type in the URL's of competitors, or any sites you don't want advertising on your own.

Obviously, you may limit the number of ads being shown on your site. But it wouldn't matter since the only ads not being shown, are those of your competitors...(which is what you don't want anyway)
