Bad Ads

I have been getting alot of stupid ads on my site since I have added the google ads. Most of the stupid ones appear on the forum. My forum pretty much just talks about a specific PS2 game and has a few different forums mixxed in with it. I get alot of Skin Packaging ads. I have blocked so many of them because they have no relation to my site. I dunno why I would get Skin Packaging Ads on a game site. Is their a way to mass block these types of ads or am I just gonna hafta keep blocking each URL because as I see them appear more it drops my earnings if I can get them away for a while my earnings go back up.

It is very likely that whatever forum software you are using is very code-heavy, and not optimized. You might look into the code...

If the Google mediaBot sees primarily stuff about forum, forum software, name brand of forum software, etc., then it will serve ads related to skins and templates, etc for the forum software.

Look into your code - there may be many comment tags, alt tags, etc, that need to be deleted or changed to your site topic.

I had the same problem with my phpBB forum. I solved this by changing the directory of the forum on my website. The directory was /phpbb and I changed it to a general keyword of what the forum was about.

Since I changed this I never see any unrelated ads for phpbb skins or phpbb hosting at all.

Same goes for a friend of mine with a mambo portal which has adsense on it. After he changes the /mambo directory to a more specific word the mambo ads are gone.
