Tracking which adsense advert has been clicked

Hi,

How do you track or know, which adsense advert has been clicked?

I notice some here say say which advert has been clicked.

I wonder if there is a way to know?

Most of us do it by creating channels for different ads or pages.

There are page trackers that will also tell you which ad was clicked when the viewer leaves your page.

the free statistics program Add Free Statistics (Google it!) tells you what AS got clicked on what page of your site. I suppose other statistics programs give the same information.

Looked at Ad Free Stats, wanted to sign up, but the flashing ads and jittery skyscraper about gave me a seizure.

Just had a look at what it can do - doesn't adsense have a problem with this? Seems like you can tell where the visitor is from, what page they were on, and what ad they clicked. Info Google don't want us to know I would have thought.

Is using this product within the TOS of adsense?

I am using it for some months, they didnt say anything about it? If it would violate Adsense TOS , i would remove it, but it seems to me its an ordinary stats program?

Anybody any experience with TOS and stat programs?

I had used asRep & adfreestats, I think Adfreestats is more then enough for tracking.

To the ones that are using Add Free Statistics or similar hosted statistics packages to track Adsense clicks:

Do you realize how much information you are giving to those guys?

If I had more time, (and less scruples) I would develop a similar system, just to have a peek inside your traffic and find new interesting niches :-)

and of course you don't give any info to adsense especially if you use their stats system.
