I have to say I'm impressed. A lot of the reports are stuff you can get from your web logs anyway, but nicely presented. The really neat bit is the ability to know on one line of info:-
a, where the visitor is from
b, how your visitor got here (referring url /search)
c, how many pages they viewed,
d, how they left - specifically if it was by clicking an ad, and the landing page they went to.
As far as I can see, there is nothing in the TOS about using exit trackers, but have emailed them for confirmation that it's allowed. Assuming that trackers like this aren't against the Google TOS, then I can't think why they don't incorporate the same type of facilities. I'd be happy to pay them for the facility.
ASA is aware of the principle of click tracking and has stated that it's fine as long as the appearance and behaviour of the ads are unaffected. IMO Google essentially looking the other way is the best we can hope for.
Unless he's really that site's competitor.
Drat. I hate complexity.
The beta testing is being run from the adsenseguide.info forum.
I am taking part in the RevenueMonitor beta test and, once it comes out of beta, it is going to be an excellent aid to anyone who is serious about maximising their adsense / YPN revenue.
