Hi,

I was wondering if any of you out there are running sites with low-paying keywords (about 5 cents per click) but actually making a considerable income?

I'm not looking for people out there that have optimized their site for high-paying keywords as there aren't really a lot of high-paying keywords in my niche.

So if you are making a considerable income from low-paying keywords, do you mind sharing with us your CTR and income?

I'm sure many of us would appreciate the extra information.

Thanks,

Roger

SincerelySandy

One of my best money makers had an average CPC of 5 cents last year. The best parts about this site is that it is a website that I created for "a good cause" with the intention of informing people about what I consider to be one of the worlds "injustices". I will not tell you how much the site makes, not many people are willing to divuldge that information.

I'm a little above the 5 cent average, but not a lot. I tell folks I live in the land of the "five and dime" clicks.

And yes, you can make a reasonable income at that rate, IF you get enough traffic and clicks.

I'd guess that most news/entertainment sites with AdSense are getting low rates per click, but they have enough traffic to justify running the ads.

I run relatively low paying ads on my main site, but a decent amount of traffic makes each click important. Currently working on a site that (apparantly) has some decent keywords that relate to the topic of the original site, so perhaps some obvious linking would be in order.

Europeforvisitors, I went on your site and noticed you are compriced of a team, but Durant fronts this team. Are you in fact Durant or do you all post under this username? Just wondering! Oh, and nice site.

I have a hobby site that gets mostly 5-10 cent clicks. There are plenty of ads available and my pages are always well targeted. It makes a nice steady income. You won't get rich this way so it depends on what your goal is. You do need to have good traffic to your site.

My 2 cents is that 5 cents a click is more than most affiliate marketers average per click, and there are plenty of them that make a decent if not considerable living.

My main site averages 9c/click, does about $30/day. Obviously, gets lots of traffic (#2 in Google for a popular, competitive term - 6m results).
