How about taking it a step further and give publishers some peace of mind and the ability to go on long vacations without the nightmare of monitoring clicks activity and earnings?
Proposing an SMS reporting service, where one can:
a- Set the daily time to receive the report
b- Set the daily frequency of the report
c- Set special conditions that would trigger a report like a jump in clicks by % for example
d- Customize the contents of the report, clicks, earnings, ecpm, channel data, impressions, ctr..
e- Broadcast the report to more than one number.
f- Turn it on and off.
It can be by subscription and deductible from earnings, or free depending how generous Google is feeling, but I would pay up to 30 cents per report for such a service.
Please answer the following:
1- Would you subscribe to such a service?
2- How much would you pay / report?
3- Add here any suggested additional features / services
my initial reaction was - no, I would never pay for this service. However, then I thought again and realized how useful such a service could be while on the move.
So, here is my reply to your questions:
1- Would you subscribe to such a service?
Yes, if it is easy to subscribe and un-subscribe from the main Adsense control panel.
2- How much would you pay / report?
$0.10 per SMS, with ideally just one SMS per report (see below). Payable against the revenue of the account. If the account credit is lower than $0.10, no SMS should be sent due to lack of funds.
3- Add here any suggested additional features / services
Have ALL relevant fields in the report, e.g.
02-01-06 AUV: 1562 PGV: 1011 CLC: 25 CTA: 1.60% CTP: 2.47% RV: $15.71 TTL: $28.66
Where...
AUV = AdUnitViews
PGV = PageViews
CLC = Clicks
CTA = Click-Through-Rate AdUnitViews
CTP = Click-Through-Rate PageViews
RV = Revenue for the report period
TTL = Total cumulated revenue for this month
You can squeeze a lot of information into 160 characters, so please make as much use of it as possible.
Also, a scheduler may be useful (once a day, every other day, once a week) to keep the cost low.
